Program Description
The LP3 Program offers 60% cost share for manure runoff containment and winter grazing systems. A maximum of $210,000 of cost share is available per producer. There are a variety of practices that may be eligible for cost share if producers are approved for funding.
The full containment system practices include:
- Confinement buildings
- Site preparation
- Excavation (dikes, ponds, lagoons, and lot shaping)
- Gravel for feed roads
- Geotextile for roads
- Concrete aprons
- Water tanks and water line/trenching
- Wells
- Fencing
- Solid separators
- Culvert and piping needed for feedlot
- Concrete splash pads
- Concrete manure pads
- Seeding
Winter grazing system cost share practices include:
- Portable windbreaks
- Boundary fencing
- Water tanks and water line/trenching
- Wells
